Day 1: Rose Fields – Eğirdir – Isparta – Ethnography Museum
After a pleasant overnight journey, we arrive in the region in the morning. Our first stop is Güneykent Village in the Keçiborlu district of Isparta, home to the world-famous Isparta Roses. Here, we participate in the rose harvest, experiencing firsthand the process of picking the roses. We then observe how these freshly picked roses are transformed into rose oil and other products such as rose water, soap, and tea at production sites, with the opportunity to purchase these local goods.
After this enjoyable experience, we take a walk among the traditional Kuyucak houses, built from adobe, stone, and wood, before heading to Eğirdir. In Eğirdir, we visit the Hızırbey Mosque (Ulu Cami), Dündarbey Madrasah, and Eğirdir Castle, followed by some free time in the local market.
After the break, we take a short tour around Yeşilada and Can Islands, which were once separate islands but are now connected to the mainland. After a brief rest, we continue to the Prof. Dr. Turhan Yazgan Ethnography Museum in the city center of Isparta. This 10-story museum covers an area of 3,000 m², and from its observation terrace, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the Isparta city center.
After the museum visit, we check into our hotel in Isparta, enjoy dinner, and stay overnight.
Day 2: Sagalassos Ancient City – Burdur Lake – Salda Lake
After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for Sagalassos Ancient City, a place of love, passion, and emperors. Built between 161 and 180 AD during the reign of Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius, the Antonine Fountain still flows today. We are sure you will feel something special when you drink from its waters. This historic city will captivate you, making you want to visit again and again.
With our guide, we listen to stories and legends while exploring the ancient city on foot. Afterward, we continue toward Burdur, where we take a panoramic tour of the city center and capture breathtaking photos of Burdur Lake from its most scenic spots.
Next, we head to Salda Lake, one of the most popular destinations in recent years. Known as the “Maldives of Turkey,” Salda is also Turkey’s deepest freshwater lake. Here, you will have time to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery.
After spending a wonderful time at Salda Lake, we begin our return journey. With scheduled breaks along the way, we arrive in Istanbul in the evening, marking the end of our tour.
