Day 1: Athena Temple – Behramkale – Bozcaada – Castle – Geyikli

After a comfortable overnight journey, we arrive in Behramkale Village in the morning. We begin our day by exploring the Acropolis of Assos, located 238 meters above sea level on an andesite rock. Here, we admire the breathtaking view from the Athena Temple, one of the earliest Doric-style temples of the ancient world.

After our visit, we continue our journey to Geyikli, where we board a ferry to Bozcaada (Tenedos Island). As we arrive, we are welcomed by the majestic Bozcaada Castle, originally built by the Genoese.

We then take a leisurely stroll through:

  • Eski Rum Mahallesi (Republic Neighborhood)
  • Eski Türk Mahallesi (Alaybey Neighborhood)

These historic streets offer glimpses into Bozcaada’s multicultural past. Following our guided tour, guests will have free time for shopping and exploration.

We then take the ferry back to Geyikli and drive to Çanakkale, where we check into our hotel, enjoy dinner, and rest for the night.

Day 2: Çimenlik Castle – Martyrs’ Memorial – Lone Pine – 57th Infantry Regiment Memorial

After breakfast at the hotel, we start our day with a visit to Çimenlik Castle and the Nusrat Mine Ship, a pivotal element in the Gallipoli Campaign. We also stop by the Trojan Horse model, a famous symbol from the movie Troy.

Next, we take the ferry to the Gallipoli Peninsula, where we explore historical battlefields and memorial sites in Gallipoli National Park:

  • Rumeli Mecidiye Fortifications & Kilitbahir Castle
  • Seyit Corporal Memorial, honoring the soldier who lifted a 275 kg artillery shell
  • Morto Bay & Çanakkale Martyrs’ Memorial, the ultimate tribute to the fallen soldiers
  • Seddülbahir Village, where Yahya Çavuş Memorial and the Helles Memorial (British Memorial) are located

We continue to Alçıtepe Village, home to the Salim Mutlu Museum, where one man transformed his house into a private war museum by collecting battle artifacts.

As we proceed, we pass by:

  • Son Ok Memorial (viewed from the vehicle)
  • Zığındere (Sargı Yeri Cemetery)

We then visit the Mehmetçik Memorial, dedicated to Turkish soldiers, and Kanlısırt (Bloody Ridge), a site where soldiers described rivers of blood flowing down the hills. Adjacent to this is the Lone Pine Memorial (Australian & New Zealand Memorial).

Our final stop is the 57th Infantry Regiment Memorial, where Atatürk’s famous command“I am not ordering you to fight; I am ordering you to die”—led to one of the most heroic battles of the war.

The day concludes at Conkbayırı (Chunuk Bair), a strategic high ground from which Mustafa Kemal Atatürk commanded the battle. Here, we visit:

  • Atatürk’s observation post
  • Trenches and battle sites
  • The location where Atatürk was struck by shrapnel, saved by his pocket watch

We then begin our return journey to Istanbul, arriving in the evening.

End of the tour.
